Nashik, Sept. 11 -- District Collector Jalaj Sharma today directed officials to immediately begin work on providing basic facilities at parking lots for devotees of the upcoming Kumbh Mela.
Speaking at a review meeting, Sharma instructed the Public Works Department to prepare a model plan for the parking lots and for the Revenue Department to submit proposals for the necessary land acquisition. He also told the Police Department to identify routes for traffic control and congestion management, especially on roads from Kasbe Sukena, Kherwadi, Odha, and Ghoti to Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
