New Delhi, Feb. 6 -- Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah called for urgent action on the climate crisis during the screening of his short film It's Only 47degC.
The film, set against the backdrop of a a scorching city heatwave and follows a traffic officer daily routine and lays bare the stark inequalities in how extreme heat is endured. Through his experiences, the story shows how extreme heat affects people differently, especially those who have to work outside and don't have ways to escape the heat. Using a quiet, realistic style, the film sheds light on the hard work and struggles of people most affected by rising temperatures.
