Nanded (Maharashtra), Sept. 20 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued light to moderate rainfall for Nanded district from tomorrow onwards, bringing mixed reactions from farmers already grappling with extensive monsoon damage.
Nanded recorded the highest toll in Marathwada with 18 deaths, destruction of 1,499 houses, displacement of 15,000 people from 4,463 families, and damage to crops across 2.62 lakh hectares. The district also lost 215 animals in the floods.
