Windhoek, May 27 -- In what will mark as a significant milestone for African cricket, Namibia will take on South Africa for the first time ever at home on October 11.

This also marks the official opening of the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground, (FNB NCG) which will also co host the ICC U19 Men's World Cup in 2026 and the ICC Men's World Cup in 2027.

The ground, with a capacity of 7000 and situated in the south of the capital city of Windhoek, also features Namibia's High Performance centre, a restaurant and a hospitality wing.

Cricket Namibia's CEO Johan Muller is looking forward to partner with CSA to host the ICC Men's World Cup in 2027, an ICC report said.
