Windhoek, Dec. 7 -- Former South Africa opener and celebrated international coach Gary Kirsten has been appointed as a consultant for the Namibia men's cricket team, Cricket Namibia announced.
The move comes as the side intensifies its preparations for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
As per the International Cricket Council (ICC) website, Kirsten, who enjoyed a prolific playing career with 7,289 runs in 101 Tests and 6,798 runs in 185 ODIs, brings a wealth of experience both on and off the field.
Beyond his reputation as a dependable top-order batter, he has carved out an illustrious coaching career spanning domestic, international, and franchise cricket.
