Lucknow, April 17 -- Inspired by the successful rejuvenation of Kashi and Ayodhya, the government is now focused on giving Naimisharanya, the ancient pilgrimage site steeped in spiritual legacy on the banks of the Gomti river, a similar revival, official sources said here on Thursday.

Sources said that along with the beautification of ghats and the widening of roads, a Vedic City is also being developed here. "Major temples such as Lalita Devi and Bhuteshwarnath and other important locations associated with sages, saints and ancient legends, are being equipped with modern infrastructure while preserving their traditional essence," they said.
