Itanagar, Oct. 3 -- The Naharlagun Police has arrested one Zarli Gongo (40), a resident of Pani Muri village, Dumporijo in Upper Subansiri district, for allegedly duping unemployed youths by collecting money on the false assurance of providing jobs.
The accused, who was running a bogus agency named Subansiri Private Security Service and Job Placement Agency at Model Village, Naharlagun, had fraudulently collected amounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 from several victims between July and August 2025 through cash and online transfers.
He had promised jobs such as Gunman, Store Keeper, Security Guard, and Supervisor in various establishments.
Following a complaint, a case [NLG PS Case No. 134/25 U/S 318(3) BNS] was registered.
