Nagpur, Dec. 2 -- Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has appointed Dr Manali Makarand Kshirsagar as its 25th Vice Chancellor, marking the first time a woman has been named to the post in the university's history.
The appointment was confirmed through orders issued by the Governor and Chancellor.
Dr Kshirsagar, who currently serves as technical director and advisor at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), assumes leadership after nearly two years during which the university functioned under acting Vice-Chancellors.
The prolonged vacancy had slowed administrative procedures and delayed several key academic and policy decisions.
