Nagpur, Oct. 1 -- The 69th "Dhammachakra Pravartan Din" will be celebrated here on October 2 with various programmes marking the historic conversion to Buddhism by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and his followers, a press release said today.

According to the release, lakhs of devotees and visitors are expected to gather at Deekshabhoomi, the sacred site where Ambedkar embraced Buddhism in 1956.

The event will feature religious discourses, cultural activities and social initiatives, the release further stated.
