Mumbai, March 20 -- Nagpur is gradually returning to normal, while curfew is continuing in some sensitive areas following the recent violence, which broke out in the city a few days back, sources said here on Thursday.

Violence erupted on Monday following rumours that a holy book had been desecrated during a demonstration seeking the removal of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's tomb in Khuldabad.

According to details, the curfew was imposed in several sensitive parts of Nagpur after the violence.

Talking to media persons, Nagpur Collector Dr Vipin Itankar said, "Normalcy has been restored, but the curfew was imposed in some parts. We are in touch with police on this."
