Nagpur, Dec. 24 -- : Nagpur police have confiscated MD (ecstasy) drugs valued at more than Rs 53 lakh and arrested two individuals from Rajasthan in connection with the seizure, officials said on Wednesday.
Acting on specific intelligence, the MIDC police carried out the operation on Tuesday after receiving information that two persons were attempting to sell MD near Sangam Road in the Wanadongri area of the city.
The suspects were apprehended at the spot and identified as Ramswaroop Bhairaram Bishnoi (24) and Hariram Jagdish Paliwal (31), both residents of Kalyanpur tehsil in Balotra district of Rajasthan, police said.
