Nagpur, Oct. 1 -- The Nagpur rural police have closed their investigation into the alleged stone-pelting on NCP (SP) leader and former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh, terming the case false in a 'B Summary' report submitted to a Katol court, senior officials said today.

The complaint was filed by Deshmukh's aide, Ujjwal Bhoyar, who alleged that unidentified persons had hurled stones at Deshmukh's car on November 18, 2024, leaving him injured while he was campaigning.

But forensic analysis pointed out discrepancies in the nature of injuries and the damage to the vehicle, ruling out an attack.
