Nagpur, Nov. 7 -- Nagpur has joined the nationwide commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram on Friday evening, with a mass gathering and rendition of the full version of the national song.
The event, organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Maharashtra unit, was held at the Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education (IDCPE) ground, Krida Chowk, Hanuman Nagar, from 6 p.m.
Over 25,000 people participated in the event.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule led the city-level celebration.
