Nagpur, Dec. 1 -- The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court today set aside the life sentence awarded to BrahMos Aerospace engineer Nishant Pradeepkumar Agrawal, who had been convicted on charges of spying for Pakistan.
The division bench of Justices Anil Kiloor and Pravin Patil delivered the ruling while hearing Agrawal's appeal against his 2024 conviction by a Nagpur Sessions Court.
Agrawal, who worked on the India-Russia BrahMos missile project under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), had been arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra in October 2018.
