Nagpur doctors save life of tiger attack survivor with complex brain surgery
Nagpur, July 30 -- In a remarkable feat of medical expertise, doctors at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here successfully performed a high-risk brain surgery to save the life of a man who sustained severe injuries in a tiger attack, Medical officials said today.
A 24-year-old patient, named Sudam Bhalavi, resident of tribal dominated village of Nimtola, under the Deolapar Ramtek Forest Range, was brought to GMCH in a critical condition after being attacked by a wild tiger.
The ferocious animal inflicted deep wounds to the man's head, leading to severe bleeding in the head.
However, the team of doctors at GMCH, led by neurosurgeons, swiftly assessed the situation and decided to perform urgent brain surgery.
