Nagpur, Jan. 16 -- Counting of votes for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) elections continued on Friday, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading in 84 seats, while the Congress was ahead in 41 seats, according to the election officials.
Polling for the 151-member civic body took place on Thursday along with elections to 28 other municipal corporations across Maharashtra.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) was leading in four seats in Nagpur, where elections are conducted under a four-member panel system, with each panel comprising four wards.
