Nagpur, Sept. 5 -- In a midnight heist, three masked men looted Rs 8.12 lakh from an SBI ATM kiosk here in Maharashtra, a senior police official told UNI today.

According to a police official, the incident occurred between 2:26 am and 2:40 am yesterday at Patankar Chowk in Jaripatka. The accused used a gas cutter to break open the ATM. Before executing the theft, they sprayed black paint on the internal CCTV cameras to block recording, though external cameras captured their movements.

The gang arrived in a silver car bearing a fake number plate, later traced to a local resident. Police believe the vehicle was used as a decoy. In their haste to flee, the culprits left behind a cash tray containing Rs 500 denomination notes.
