Dimapur, April 13 -- Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore reviewed the progress of the water supply and sanitation programmes being carried out by the public health engineering department (PHED) in the state at Lok Bhavan in Kohima today.
Yadav reviewed key challenges such as depleting water sources, funding constraints and maintenance issues.
He emphasised the need for sustainable water management practices, timely project execution and stronger community involvement.
Yadav also stressed the importance of rainwater harvesting as a sustainable solution to address water scarcity, particularly in urban and water-stressed areas and encouraged the department to promote its adoption across the State.
