Dimapur, Sept. 27 -- The Centre has selected Nagaland's aspirational district Mon, among 100 aspirational agricultural districts in the country, for development under the Prime Minister Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) for a period of six years, beginning 2025-26.
Informing Nagaland Lok Sabha MP S. Supongmeren Jamir in a letter dated September 24, received here today, union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "I am happy to announce that the district Mon has been selected under your Lok Sabha constituency in the state of Nagaland."Chouhan expressed hope that Jamir's leadership would enable the district authorities and officials under his jurisdiction to smoothly implement the PMDDKY in the state.
