Dimapur, March 10 -- Nagaland deputy chief minister Y Patton on Tuesday expressed dismay over repeated racial discrimination against the people of Northeast in Delhi.
"I am appalled and disturbed by the repeated instances of racial discrimination against people from Northeast India," Patton said in a statement, asking "when will we learn to see each other as Indians first".
Strongly condemning the racial discrimination and alleged assault against two Northeast residents near the Saket district court complex in New Delhi on March 8, he said such acts of prejudice and bias are not only hurtful but also go against the values of unity and inclusivity that our country stands for.
