Naga groups to meet at common ground to pursue shared political vision

Dimapur, Aug. 23 -- An assembly of representatives of l6 Naga political groups (NPGs), 14 tribal hohos (bodies) from all Naga areas and the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) at Ungma village in Mokokchung district today reiterated an earnest and unified call that all Naga political groups (NPGs) with the clear-cut support of the tribe hohos will converge at a common ground to articulate and pursue a shared political vision based on the Naga people's historical and political rights.

A statement, called the 'Ungma statement', issued after the meeting stated that the call is in continuation of the 'January 14, 2025, treatise', followed by affirmations and resolutions made throughout 2025.
