Imphal, July 22 -- Representatives of United Naga Council (UNC), accompanied by members from All-Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM), the Naga Women's Union (NWU), and the Naga People's Movement for Human Rights - South (NPMHR-S), called on Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, here today and submitted a memorandum demanding stopping of border fencing.

During the meeting, the representatives expressed concerns over ongoing developments impacting the hill areas, particularly in relation to the Free Movement Regime and border fencing. Governor acknowledged the grievances raised and said that the matter would be looked into.
