Imphal, Sept. 10 -- The United Naga Council (UNC) has intensified its protest by launching an indefinite economic blockade, which is termed as "trade embargo" and blocking Manipur highways.
The move that began at midnight yesterday targets the revocation of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and the construction of border fencing along the India-Myanmar boundary.
The UNC has opposed the decisions of the government on the ground that Nagas also reside in Myanmar and they have a right to freely move around.
