Kolkata, Sept. 7 -- Police have arrested four suspects accused of abducting and killing a nine-year-old boy, an incident that also sparked the mob lynching of a couple in Nishintapur village, Nadia district, West Bengal, official sources said today.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural), Krishnanagar district, Uttam Ghosh, stated that the four accused were apprehended last night after the boy's family filed an FIR naming seven individuals for the kidnapping and murder of Swarnabha Biswas, a class III student from Nishintapur village in the Tehatta region.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the mob lynching. The local police station has registered a suo motu case regarding the lynching.
