Hamirpur(HP), Feb. 13 -- The rift within the district BJP has resurfaced after a party hoarding in the Sujanpur Assembly constituency triggered fresh controversy. The district unit is broadly seen as divided between a camp led by former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and MP Anurag Thakur, and another aligned with former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
The latest flashpoint centres around a large BJP hoarding in Sujanpur, where a poster of union Health Minister J.P. Nadda was pasted over the photograph of two-time Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal. The hoarding, originally installed by the BJP Mandal, also features images of Anurag Thakur and former MLA Rajendra Rana.
