Bengaluru, June 7 -- Union Minister JP Nadda on Saturday said that the introduction of a nutrition-focused curriculum by the NCERT marks a critical step in the government's campaign to promote safe and healthy food habits, especially among children.

Addressing a gathering in Bengaluru, Nadda highlighted the dangers of unhealthy eating and the growing influence of advertisements promoting junk food to children.

"We have taken a collective responsibility - it is now upon the government, industry, academia and each individual to ensure that we eat right," he said.
