Aizawl, April 14 -- Mizoram University, in association with its NSS unit, on Monday observed the birth anniversaries of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule with a commemorative event that celebrated their enduring legacies and contributions to social reform and justice in India.
The event opened with floral tributes to the two social reformers, followed by a welcome address from Dr. T. Rajesh and a programme introduction by Dr. S. L. Jangu.
Serving as the chief guest, Ashish Modak, Director of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Aizawl, delivered a keynote address that traced the struggles and transformative ideas of both Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule. Modak described Ambedkar as the "architect of modern India" for his ...
