Bengaluru, Oct. 25 -- Mysuru silk sarees, renowned for their quality and craftsmanship, are witnessing strong demand both in India and abroad, union Minister of State for Labour, Employment, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shobha Karandlaje said today.

She called for increased production to meet global demand while launching the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the National Silk Worm Seed Organization under the Central Silk Board in Bengaluru. She also released a special commemorative postage stamp marking the occasion.
