Yangon, June 2 -- Myanmar's Department of Small Scale Industries under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development has planned to implement a micro industry project in 198 villages across the country during the 2025-26 fiscal year, state-owned Myanmar Radio and Television reported on Monday.

The initiative aims to help local residents start micro businesses and improve family incomes by providing training, materials, and equipment, the report said.

The department will use over 2.47 billion kyats (approximately 1.17 million U.S. dollars) for the project, the report said.
