Aizawl, Feb. 16 -- In a horrific incident, a Myanmar national allegedly murdered his wife outside their rented home in Salem Mualpui neighbourhood on the outskirts of Aizawl on Saturday night while their two young sons watched in horror.
According to police, the accused, C. Lalsiamliana, 36, originally from Chin State in Myanmar, was intoxicated when he brutally attacked his wife, Rebek Chanchinthathangi, 42. He reportedly beat her with a club before strangling her with a steel rope. His two sons, aged 9 and 5, stood frozen in terror as their father stripped their mother naked and assaulted her.
