New Delhi/Mumbai, Feb. 25 -- Nationalist Congress Party MP Supriya Sule on Tuesday said that if there is unanimous support, Sharad Pawar can be sent to the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra.
She said party MLAs have already reached out to Congress legislators regarding the proposal. Sule added that she would meet senior Congress leaders in Delhi and formally request both Congress and Uddhav Thackeray to finalise Pawar's candidature from the Maha Vikas Aghadi for the Upper House.
Sule clarified that no discussion has yet taken place with Pawar on the nomination due to his recent medical examinations. She said the matter would be discussed soon.
