Sambhal, Dec. 15 -- The mutilated body of an unidentified person was found in a drain near the Patraua Badi Eidgah in village Patrahua, adjoining Chandausi town, gripping the area with panic.
According to the police, the body was in a highly decomposed condition, with the head, both hands and legs missing, raising strong suspicion of murder and an attempt to dispose of the remains.
Locals noticed dogs dragging a bag containing the body from the drain, after which a passerby informed the police.
Soon after receiving the information, Circle Officer Manoj Kumar Singh and Kotwali In-charge Anuj Kumar Tomar reached the spot along with police force. With the help of villagers, the police retrieved the body from the drain.
