Forde (Norway), Oct. 5 -- India weightlifter Muthupandi Raja achieved a personal best total of 299kg (130kg snatch 169kg clean and jerk) in the men's 65kg category but finished ninth at the World Weightlifting Championships 2025 here on Saturday.
Competing in Group A, Raja was fifth in the clean and jerk and 12th in the snatch. His previous best of 296kg had earned him a silver at the Commonwealth Championships in August. Turkey's Muhammed Furkan Ozbek clinched gold with 324kg, North Korea's Pak Myong Jin took silver with 315kg, and USA's Hampton Miller Morris claimed bronze with 311kg.
