Kolkata, April 14 -- : After a week of violence across several parts of Murshidabad district in West Bengal over protests against the Waqf Amendment Act which left three dead and several injured prompting Calcutta High Court to deploy central forces, the district is now gradually returning to normal.

With extensive patrolling by the central forces and the state police in the disturbed pockets of the district, including Suti, Dhuliyan and Samsherganj under Jangipur police district, there were no reports of fresh violence in the areas.
