Beed, Sept. 16 -- Following heavy rainfall and floods that have caused massive damage across Beed district, including the Parli Vaijnath constituency, former minister Dhananjay Munde stated today that over 50% of kharif crops have been destroyed due to waterlogging.

He noted that in most areas, fields remain submerged knee-deep in water, while in many places, floodwater has deposited stones and rubble in the fields.

Several villages have suffered flooding, leading to house collapses, loss of household goods, destruction of food grains, death of livestock, and severe damage to rural roads, bridges, and protective walls.
