New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited Shalimar Bagh's Haiderpur area to meet the families of two children who lost their lives in the Munak Canal tragedy and conveyed her condolences.
The CM said the state government stands in solidarity with the bereaved families during this difficult time and announced that her government would provide ex-gratia assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased children.
She also directed officials to immediately initiate the process of financial aid so that the compensation could reach the affected families at the earliest.
