Mumbai, Feb. 12 -- A 13-year-old girl diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) with three patients suffering from this till now has been reported in Mumbai, officials said here on Wednesday.

Dr. Daksha Shah, Dy. Executive Health Officer of Bombay Municipal Corporation, said that the girl is said to be the youngest GBS virus patient from Mumbai and was admitted to BMC-run Nair Hospital.

The patient is under treatment and in stable condition and may be discharged in the evening, Dr Shah added.

Earlier, Mumbai had reported its first GBS case when a 64-year-old woman was diagnosed with the syndrome.

Meanwhile, Mumbai recorded its first GBS death on Feb 10. The deceased is identified as Subhash Dete, who passed away in Nair Hospital.
