Mumbai, June 14 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Saturday a landmark initiative to transform Mumbai and Navi Mumbai into India's first international education hub, bringing world-class foreign universities to Indian soil.

At the 'Mumbai Rising: Creating an International Education City' event held at the Taj Hotel, Letters of Intent (LoIs) were signed with five renowned global universities under the National Education Policy (NEP), signalling a new era for higher education in the state.
