Nagpur, Dec. 13 -- The rising air pollution in Mumbai and the prolonged delay in completing the Hancock Bridge reconstruction were raised in the Maharashtra Assembly on Saturday, with MLA Amin Patel seeking urgent government intervention on both fronts.
Drawing the attention of the House to the worsening pollution crisis, the legislator said air pollution levels in Mumbai have reached alarmingly high and unusual levels, posing a serious threat to public health.
He warned that unless immediate and effective measures are taken, the situation could deteriorate further and adversely affect the daily lives of millions of residents in the city.
