Mumbai, Oct. 3 -- Mumbai recorded a surge in vehicle sales on Dasara, registering 10,541 vehicles in a single day and surpassing last year's figure of 9,063.
This 14 percent increase compared to 2023 was attributed by experts to reduced vehicle prices following the Central Government's GST cut.
According to the transport department, demand was highest for small four-wheelers and two-wheelers below 350 cc. A total of 7,579 two-wheelers and 2,962 four-wheelers were registered across Mumbai.
