Mumbai, Aug. 19 -- Torrential rainfall across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai has severely disrupted normal life, leaving numerous commuters stranded for hours on waterlogged roads while attempting essential travel. In response, the Sikh community has mobilised immediate relief efforts by opening gurdwara doors to all affected persons, providing organised shelter and langar services.
The community has issued a public appeal urging those stranded by flooding to seek refuge in nearest gurdwaras, where accommodation, meals and essential facilities are being offered without discrimination.
