Mumbai, Oct. 13 -- After a video showing a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) worker allegedly slapping a non-Marathi woman has gone viral that sparked widespread outrage and debate on social media, the Mumbai Police clarified that the incident did not occur within their jurisdiction, stating that it took place in Thane's Kalwa area, which comes under the Thane Police Commissionerate.
Responding to numerous online complaints, Mumbai Police said the relevant local unit had been notified to take necessary action. However, Thane Police have not yet released any official statement on the matter.
