Mumbai, June 19 -- The mortal remains of First Officer Clive Kunder, co-pilot of the ill-fated Air India flight AI-171, were returned to his family home in Mumbai on Thursday morning following last week's catastrophic crash in Ahmedabad.
Kunder's casket arrived via flight at Mumbai airport before being transported to his residence on Ram Mandir Road in Goregaon (West), where he lived with his elderly parents and younger sister.
The final rites will be conducted at Sewri Christian Cemetery.
The London-bound Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed on June 12 shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, killing 241 passengers and crew, along with 29 people on the ground when the aircraft struck a medical complex outside the airport perimeter.
