Mumbai, Jan. 5 -- A cath lab at the Municipal run Nair Hospital has become non-operational following a short circuit, official sources confirmed on Monday.
The snag which occurred on Friday last, disrupteed critical cardiac treatments causing severe inconvenience to patients. Authorities are working to ensure that the cath lab becomes operational within the next two to three days.
While no injuries or major mishaps were reported, key components of the cath lab equipment were damaged, forcing the facility to shut down. As a result, essential procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and valve-related interventions have been suspended, confirmed hospital Dean Dr. Shailesh Mohite.
