Mumbai, July 30 -- Services of the Mumbai's Central Railway were severely affected on Wednesday morning after a crack was detected on the track between Badlapur and Vangani stations in neighbouring Thane district.
The issue brought local train services to a temporary halt, resulting in massive delays for thousands of daily commuters during peak hours.
According to the details, the disruption began early in the morning when railway staff identified a crack on the rail line, following which the railway workers carried out emergency repairs to restore services in the affected section.
Due to the damage, several local trains headed towards Karjat were reportedly short-terminated at Badlapur and sent back towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ...
