Mumbai, Dec. 9 -- The third Council meeting of the International Association of Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) began in Mumbai on Tuesday, bringing together global leaders and maritime experts for a three-day dialogue on enhancing safe and sustainable navigation worldwide.
The meeting was formally inaugurated by union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Sonowal said it was a proud moment for India to host key representatives from across the world as they deliberated on the future of maritime safety.
