Mumbai/ New Delhi, Dec. 4 -- union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha on Thursday that the long-pending Mumbai-Goa Highway project will be completed by April 2026. The work on the project started in 2009.

He was responding to a question raised by Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant, who highlighted the prolonged delay and public frustration regarding the project.

Sawant pointed out that the highway work has been ongoing for nearly 10 years, with expenses surpassing even major national projects, yet the road remains incomplete. He urged the minister to take personal interest in ensuring timely completion.
