Mumbai, Oct. 22 -- A 37-year-old woman died after a fire broke out in a residential complex in the Borivali suburb this afternoon, officials confirmed. Two men were safely rescued from the first floor using the staircase during the operation.
The victim, identified as Pooja Vinaychandra Parekh, was rescued from a first-floor bathroom and rushed to Lotus Hospital. Officials stated she succumbed to her injuries after sustaining 50 percent burns before admission. The two rescued men are reportedly stable.
