Mumbai, Nov. 17 -- Mumbai faced a major fuel shortage on Monday after damage to a CNG pipeline in the Wadala area of south-central Mumbai resulted in a large-scale disruption of gas supply, rendering several fuel stations across the city non-operational and causing widespread delays for commuters since morning.
A day after the sudden interruption in gas flow, long queues of autorickshaws, taxis, and aggregator cabs were seen around multiple fuel pumps, resulting in traffic congestion on adjoining roads. Visuals circulating online showed kilometre-long lines of public transport vehicles waiting to refuel, with many drivers stating they had waited for several hours through the night to access CNG.
