Mumbai, July 8 -- A 32-year-old doctor from government-run Sir J J Hospital in Mumbai allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from the Sewri-Nhava Sheva Sea Link Atal Setu, the neighbouring Navi Mumbai police said today.
Search operation is on to trace him.
According to sources in police, Dr Omkar Kavitake, a resident of Kalamboli in Navi Mumbai, was last seen at the bridge last night by a motorist who informed the police control room of the incident, according to the police.
Police said Dr Kavitake had stopped his car on the Navi Mumbai-Mumbai stretch of the sea link and crossed over the railing of the bridge.
